About
The business's document cloud — what Dropbox, Box and Nextcloud are to a business: libraries (personal, group, shared) of folders and documents with every version kept and the bytes stored once, group libraries that outlive their members, sharing to people, groups, departments and agents with inheritance down the tree and, through expiring links and file requests, the outside; tags, a keyword search over the words of every document, and a dedicated knowledge graph for finding documents that is kept apart from what the agents remember and never searched by the default ask-me-anything. Every search answers only what the asker may see. The DocCloud Expert finds, files and explains access in the command bar; the Filing Clerk reports every Monday what the store needs a hand with.
This is an application of the MaluDB Business OS. It runs on your office's server, not on a desktop. People open it from the OS launcher after a super-admin grants them access; on an enrolled MaluOS Desktop it also appears in the MaluApps window as a launcher.
Install
On a MaluDB Business OS server
- Sign in to the OS as a super-admin and note the domain the kernel serves.
sudo git clone https://github.com/maludb/maludb-os-doccloud /srv/apps/doccloudphp /var/www/bin/app_install.php plan /srv/apps/doccloud --by <super-admin email> --domain <domain>- Read the plan. It is read-only and lists the database, virtual host, services and agent the installer will create.
sudo php /var/www/bin/app_install.php apply /srv/apps/doccloud --by <super-admin email> --domain <domain>- The application appears in the launcher for everyone who is granted access, and its expert agent is hired in Agent HR.
