About
The business's database development and administration tool — what phpMyAdmin is to MySQL, for PostgreSQL and the MaluDB memory system, for admins, software engineers and DBAs. Every registered database's objects with their DDL, dependencies and statistics; forms that end on one Change review page showing the exact SQL, the lock it takes and whether it rewrites the table, linted and rehearsed on a throwaway copy; workbenches where schemas are designed live and exported as the next numbered migration for an application's repository — installed applications' schemas change only that way; data read at a level granted per person, with personal columns masked by the database's own privileges and row edits made in a time-boxed window and undoable; the SQL editor with plans; what the server is doing, maintenance and health findings; a curated, read-only view of the memory databases. One door holds the tool's database credentials and audits every statement.
This is an application of the MaluDB Business OS. It runs on your office's server, not on a desktop. People open it from the OS launcher after a super-admin grants them access; on an enrolled MaluOS Desktop it also appears in the MaluApps window as a launcher.
Install
On a MaluDB Business OS server
- Sign in to the OS as a super-admin and note the domain the kernel serves.
sudo git clone https://github.com/maludb/maludb-os-developer /srv/apps/developerphp /var/www/bin/app_install.php plan /srv/apps/developer --by <super-admin email> --domain <domain>- Read the plan. It is read-only and lists the database, virtual host, services and agent the installer will create.
sudo php /var/www/bin/app_install.php apply /srv/apps/developer --by <super-admin email> --domain <domain>- The application appears in the launcher for everyone who is granted access, and its expert agent is hired in Agent HR.
