About
One place to install the tools a person wants on a desk: Google Chrome, Visual Studio Code, Claude Code, Codex and Ollama today, each as a directory with its tool.json and install script under /usr/share/maluos-tools. `maluctl tools list|check|install|open|log` drives the scripts from a terminal; the Tools Installer window in the dock drives them from the desktop. Vendor repositories and installers are the vendors' terms; each entry shows the vendor's notice before the first install.
What it does
- Five developer tools from their vendors' own installers
- System scope through pkexec
- The same scripts from the window and the terminal
Install
On MaluOS Desktop
sudo apt install maluos-toolsmaluctl tools listmaluctl tools install claude-code
Not on MaluOS? Add the repository first: curl -fsSL https://apt.maluos.com/bootstrap/install-maluos.sh | sudo bash. Packages are signed with the MaluOS archive key; how to verify.
