About
MaluDB is a memory DBMS for long-term institutional memory, human-AI knowledge sharing and contextual recall, implemented as the maludb_core PostgreSQL extension. The MaluOS build targets PostgreSQL 18 on Ubuntu 26.04; the original targets PostgreSQL 17, with ports for AlmaLinux 8 and Oracle 19c. The maludb-mc2dbd sidecar exposes the MC2DB tool registry as an MCP-compatible HTTPS endpoint with Prometheus metrics.
What it does
- Memory objects, subjects, episodes and skills in PostgreSQL
- Vector search for contextual recall
- MC2DB tool registry with four dispatchers
- MCP-over-HTTPS sidecar with metrics
Install
On MaluOS Server
- Installed and provisioned on first boot. By hand:
sudo apt install postgresql-18-maludb-core maludb-mc2dbdsudo -u postgres psql -c 'CREATE EXTENSION maludb_core;'
Not on MaluOS? Add the repository first: curl -fsSL https://apt.maluos.com/bootstrap/install-maluos.sh | sudo bash. Packages are signed with the MaluOS archive key; how to verify.
